About this cartoon: The presidency of Donald Trump is more than idiosyncratic, it is baffling and Orwellian, with norms of behavior and meanings of words turned upside-down like an unfunny and too-real funhouse mirror. The rule of thumb is that there are no consistent rules, save for whatever Trump favors at a given moment or what enriches him. Falsehoods, blame and ignorance are constants, and the chaos of it all is his normalcy, partly by design.
